Christmas in Our Cards

Christmas songs best express our thoughts and feelings. For composers, songwriting is passion and a cup of tea, but for many, such is a challenge. So if you cannot say it with songs, say if with Christmas cards.

Cards are the easiest way out where feelings can readily be expressed. Cards can say it all using the best words that convey what the giver really feels. Under normal circumstances, what most people do is get themselves cards and simply write the recipient’s name on it. No thoughts involved as well as personal messages, just the generic Christmas card. This is the downside of card giving. Cards are nice when they are personalized, so always put some heart into it at least. Aside from the usual message written inside the card, you can spend some time and put your own thoughts into it and write a warm and meaningful note for your loved one.

Cards, like artificial Christmas trees, are readily available. You can easily find them in malls as well as stores. Aside from these, there are also online shops that allow you to personalize your Christmas cards.

To personalize your card and make it really your own, why not take some pictures of you and your family underneath your artificial Christmas tree. This way, the receiver gets to see happy faces when they open the card, not just the usual drawing of Christmas trees, Santa, snow, reindeers, gifts, etc, that one sees in generic cards.

Likewise, you will also receive Christmas cards from relatives and friends, but you do not have to stack them in one corner and leave it at that. What you can do is to use these Christmas cards to decorate your Christmas tree or your artificial Christmas tree.

Cards are among the first gifts that family put under their Christmas tree, may it be an artificial Christmas tree or not. This is where they place all the cards they have received. Sometimes, too, these cards can become good decorations for your artificial Christmas tree. You can arrange them neatly around the artificial Christmas tree, but make sure though that you do not overdo it. You can also scatter these Christmas cards underneath your Christmas tree in between the gifts. This way, the senders of your cards are somehow participating in your Christmas joy as their gifts get to beautify the artificial Christmas tree.

Shop for Trees, Shop for Christmas

“People making list, buying special gifts, and taking time to be kind to one and all” - Christmas is one occasion where gifts are usually a must. There is even the so-called Kris Kringle or Exchange Gifts just to make sure that no guests will go home empty-handed.

Gift cards are the most common type of gifts during the holidays. Gift cards are very convenient on the part of the giver. The right to choose the item is rested upon the recipient. Most stores, e.g. Bloomingdales, Macy’s, Saks do carry gift cards. Christmas gifts are commonly placed under the Christmas trees and opened on the Nativity Day itself.

Christmas trees do play a number of roles during the holidays. Primarily, it serves as a decoration. On the other hand, it provides shelter for gifts.

Artificial Christmas tree is of easy maintenance. No daily watering needed, no pest control issues, no disposal concerns, and no visiting of tree farms! It may cost higher than a living tree, but in the long run, cost is no longer an issue. It can be used repeatedly, year after year.

Artificial Christmas trees are collapsible. It is a do-it-yourself kind of thing. Setting it up can provide a chance for a family to bond. Kids enjoy decorating Christmas trees, especially when it’s time to put the star on top. Also, children do love browsing through the gifts under the tree. They try to know how many of those gifts belong to them. Sometimes, even Santa Claus places his gift under the tree.

To add flavor to the occasion, a different kind of tree may be used. In most cases, Christmas trees come in the form of fig tree or pine tree. But how about considering a palm tree? More so, a lighted palm tree? How does that sound?

Lighted palm trees come in different shades and sizes. They add excitement to the joyous occasion. They can be used as funky substitutes to the traditional trees as well as props in Christmas nativity scenes or plays. These are normally designed for outdoor use though.

The trees may be of any kind – fig, pine or palm - but all can still serve as the perfect place where gifts are placed. It does not matter also if the tree is artificial or not as long as the Christmas spirit is stirred by the presence of Christmas trees.
